Chirag Parikh leads Microsoft’s efforts to connect the Microsoft Azure cloud with the space sector. His work focuses on using the power of Azure's global cloud capabilities to enable the space industry and applying the advantages of space to further enable Microsoft cloud users. Chirag's focus spans across defense, intelligence, civil, and commercial providers and users of space capabilities, incorporating a multinational partner community. Prior to joining Microsoft, Chirag worked for over two decades in the United States Government, most recently as a Senior Executive at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) where he served in a variety of roles including leading collection and tasking of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) sensors and the analysis of GEOINT data for global national security missions. He also served as the White House Director of Space Policy on the National Security Council, led the space intelligence community as the Deputy National Intelligence Officer for Science and Technology, and as an aerospace engineer at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center.
